Return to Creditors and Director Claim for Redundancy Pay

In July 2011 we were appointed Liquidator of a South Wales based window manufacturer and installer. We were able to make extensive asset recoveries, particularly of debtors resulting in a dividend being paid to creditors. *The director of the company was able to make a claim for redundancy and notice pay from The Redundancy Payments Service and was also able to participate in the creditor dividend distribution in respect of the unpaid amount.

* For a director to be eligible to claim from the Redundancy Payments Service, he or she needs to prove that they were an employee with a contract of employment and that their relationship with the company is similar to that of other employees.
