Carey is a Senior Insolvency Administrator who passed the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency in June 2006 and now has 9 years industry experience.
She handles a varied portfolio of cases, progressing them from appointment to closure as smoothly and efficiently as possible. "You need to be very well organised, because there are many statutory deadlines, and you never know what will happen next. I like to keep completely on top of things so there’s ample time to spare – that way there’s a lot less stress!"
Carey also enjoys helping other members of the team, including mentoring junior staff. "I just like helping people, sharing my experience and showing them ways to get around problems."
Outside of work she is much in demand for her professional cake making and decorating skills. Carey and her husband also find time to take two cruises a year – mostly in the Caribbean, but this year it’s the Med. "We’re visiting places like Rome and Florence, so it will be culture as well as sun. I love it because you meet such a huge variety of interesting people."
