Claim company Direct Assist goes into liquidation after receiving an £80,000 fine for nuisance calls.

Direct Assist formerly traded as a personal injuries claims management company.

Government watchdog the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) received 801 consumer complaints, quite unbelievably all of the complainants at that time were registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS).

One complainant alone received 470 calls and another apparently being told that they would continue to receive calls for 3 years until they made a claim!
